Default do I have to take the glovebox off to get at the cables 2 check my CEL codes?

I posted a topic about using a paper clip as a jumper wire to make the CEL blink to get the codes and I read the DIY on it, but I don't know whereabouts the cables are that I'm supposed to detach and then jump wire the one. Are they under the glovebox or behind it, in which I would have to remove it? Thanks.

You need to remove the kickpanel covering the ECU. You'll have to dig back a litlle, but taking the glove box out is not necessary

On my 93 coupe the ECU is on the passenger's side below (not behind) the glove box on the right. You have to pull back the carpet to find the jumper. It's held in a green plug holder.
