Default Fuel Pressure Regulator Questions

O.k. I have a 2000 Civic Ex D16Y8 and just put a aftermarket adjustable fuel pressure regulator on it and was wondering what psi should I set it at and what is the stock psi on the fpr. Any info and suggestions would be great. Thanks

You really shouldn't be messing with the FPR if you don't even know what stock fuel pressure is.

Do you have any other mods that would even justify the tampering of fuel pressure? My motor was turbocharged putting down almost 200hp to the wheels, and even then I didn't need to mess with it.

If you're looking for advice, put the stocker back on

oh, and for future reference..

Helms says
3. Start the engine*. Measure the fuel pressure with
the engine idling and the vacuum hose of the fuel
pressure regulator disconnected from the fuel pressure
regulator and pinched.
Pressure should be:
270 - 320 kPa (2.8 - 3.3 kgf/cm2, 40 - 47 psi) 4. Reconnect vacuum hose to the fuel pressure regulator.
Pressure should be:
220 - 250 kPa (2.2 - 2.5 kgf/cm2, 31 - 36 psi)

Yeah I would leave it stock. I have a FPR as well, I thought that after getting the big 3, I would need to up my fuel pressure alittle. Im sure you dont want to actually return it, so do what I did. Just increase it by like 2or3 psi. If you have an intake, header, and exhuast then it might net you like 1 hp. If your stock I dont think it will do anything. Also, what brand is it? If it is a very inexpensive brand it could very well mess up your car.

Should have just left it stock. There is absolutely no need to change that.
