Default dumb question about new ecu

okay, you all are going to probably laugh at me, but will an automatic run off of an ecu for a manual? because in my stupidity i bought a skunk2 manual ecu and i have an auto... didn't see the "manual" part until after i paid for it. ridicule away

or... could i reprogram it to be an auto??? - if it's obd1?

Far as I know the only difference is that the manual ECU does not have section D(?) <-- automatic section, plugged in, I'm not sure if all the internal wiring is there haven't pulled apart an ECU before, you could always try it and see what happens.
