Default ECU and harness

so im building a motor and plan on boosting it (y8) and i know i need the p28 ecu becuase its ODB1 and my harness/ecu is OBD2. so, when i get the p28, do i need a full harness...or "coversion harnesse"? and will all the connectors on the motor be perfect...like none extra..etc?

You dont have to touch any of the wiring/connectors under the hood. All you do is put the conversion harness between your egine harness plugs inside the car, and the ecu.

What year is your car again, because there are two different conversion harnesses

96-98 OBD2A --> OBD1
99-00 OBD2B --> OBD1

http://phearable.net/convharness.html

All you need for the conversion harness ^ also it's a trustworthy website + fairly low prices. Might find a cheaper one on ebay, but ebays always iffy.

or you could run a P72, and not lose your knock sensor

yeah, some people say the knock sensor it "worthless" on a honda but personally I wouldn't risk it. you never know when you'll get a bad tank of gas or something.

They're only worthless if you invest in some other sort of knock detection.

...damnit, another thing to add to the write up
