Default ecu question

I have a 2000 civic si and I am going turbo in a few weeks as soon as I get all the parts together. I am planning on chipping an obd1 p28 with a conversion harness. My question is whether i should go with a p28 from a 92-95 civic vtec or with p28 from a del sel si which has pretty much the same b16 engine as my car? Or are the two p28's the same ecu? help me out.

use the p28 out of the civic not the SOL. i wouldnt chip it i'de run with hondata s300. you can use a b16 ecu with a vafc2 and make 300hp on a set of 450CC injectors.

forget the p28 and p30 ecu and go w/ a p06 and have it chipped and convert it to p28. way cheaper. p30 ecu's and p28's are expensive

hondata is a chip(system) you install in the factory ecu.............http://www.hondata.com/s300socketing.html

OBDI is the best for tuning. Get a P28, just make sure shes a virgin, sometimes they lie!!!!!

Default RE: ecu question

well I have looked around town for somewhere to tune once I get a p28 and the cheapest I can find is a place that tunes for $150 an hour and only uses hondata. I was wanting to use chrome because supposedly its free and I dont want to pay $400 for a hondata s200 with boost. What would be another option for fuel management if I didnt go with the p28? vafc2, emanage, etc? Keep in mind I am only looking to make about 210whp. If there really arent any other systems that are safe and wont give me problems than I will shell out the extra cash and make the p28 work somehow. Thanx in advance!
