Default engine swap info needed

hi, i'm a new meber of this site and i currently have a 1993 honda civic hatchback that i'm thinking of swapping the engine. i've read up on this a bit on the internet and read about various engines that may be suitable but am still a little confused!

could anyone give me some advice on what engines might be easier to swap than others and what kind of prices i'm looking at including any tools that i might need. if anyone could also suggest places to buy the engine/parts too that would be a big help.

thanks

dan

the best motor depends on what you wanna spend, you can go b16... or spend a couple k more and get b18, or i think there is an f motor that with a little persuasion works rather well.
as for where to buy..... check with the nice people that sponser this site

hey man ... there are a few GSR swapped hatches here in town, one n/a and one goin turbo. as of now they are both n/a. and they are both really quick b/c of the power to weight ratio.

i think you'd be really happy with a gsr swap

my $.02

B16 good idea, B18 better in my opinion, but do alot of research (online, performance shops, etc.) before u buy. try google and search "jdm motors" to find an engine but i would not buy off ebay (if u r going do it, do it right buy from a reputable company). also think down the road and decide if u will stay n/a or go f/i b/c this may influence ur decision. good luck (with how light weight ur car is it will be a blast to drive with any B series swap!!)
