It will plug right in, no extra wires needed. You could also get one from an EX if you are just looking for the tach. (Make sure you get Auto cluster for an automatic and manual for a manual)

On the back of the donor cluster you will see three phillips (cross) screws. Remove them. The odo. will drop out. Carefully do the same to your original cluster odo. Reverse the process and do not touch any needles no matter how tempting it is. At least not on the cluster you plan to use. Will work fine.
As a side note make sure all the bulbs work before you put the cluster back in. Multi tester pull all and check.

Yea, youll be fine with a swap. Like Dogmeat, i also suggest you score and EX cluster. It would be kinda tacky to have an Si cluster in there if you dont have the b series to back it up : / .

no, the EG SI's don't come DOHC. they are all SOHCs and if you put in an SI cluster, all you need is honda's famous VTEC......and like DOGMEAT says....it will plug right in, no extra wires needed.

What about a 98 EX swapping into a 98 DX? No extra wires or anything?
