Default ground wires give you HP gains? WTF?

i was just at ebay, and i found a few sellers selling ground wire kits like <THIS> that claim a 5-8 increase in hp. huh? i understand having a better ground makes your electrical system more reliable, but i've never heard of anyone getting gains off of it.
is this true or just a gimmick?

Gimmick. Supposedly a better ground allows for a better spark from the spark plug, but even if it did, I'm sure it would only be noticable on a very heavily tuned car with a lot of power.

Why on earth would you believe an eBay sellers description of the gains of an automotive product? Better ground wires will make your car idle smoother and your lights won't dim out. Save some money and just clean your grounds. Take some sandpaper and sand them down until they look new again.

actually grounding systems are dyno proven, but its totally dependant on the grounding points you select. I have seen with my own eyes a 6 whp gain (friends V8 Stang), and a few on magazines of 3 and 5 hp gains to the wheel. Its also in the most current issue of import tuner if you dont believe me.

I'm selling some "Grade A Select" Air for you to use in your tires, you'll see a noticable 5-6HP gain. Quantities are limited.

The Nology wires aren't ground wires. They're spark plug wires with a built in capacitor (just happens to need a ground strap for the capacitor).

See above......clutchjunkie is asking about ground wire kits, not ignition wires.

if you have a poor ground system. then of course its going to lose a little power from the ignition system. but if that was the case you would have a check engine light for a misfire.

Not that I am an expert but people pay 100's on plug wires, it's the same electrical system so...?
