headlight electrical problem
whats up guys. I have a 95 civic dx. I keep blowing headlight bulbs. This civic is a canadian model and it has daytime running lights that come on with this stock headlights. I had installed a set of aftermarket headlights about two years ago.
When I turn on the car and hit the brake, the daytime running lights automatically come on. With the aftermarket headlights, the daytime running lights are the high beams. So to keep the high beams off I have to flip the headlight switch and turn on the low beams. So my low beams are running 24/7 all day everyday. I believe this is why I keep blowingthe low beambulbs. I replace one of them, and then the other one blows. each one only lasts about a week.
I dont understand because I have been driving the car like this for about 2 years and never had a problem with the headlight bulbs. This just all of a sudden is happening. Is there a fuse for the daytime running lights on a canadian model civic? or is there a wire that I can re-route?
also if anyone has a fuse diagram for a 92-95 civic dx, that would be helpful. Thanks for any info.
