hi ive been seaching ebay for a while for some lil bits and bobs that i can put on my car i saw this mod chip which is surposed to add a couple bhp to your car but i dnt know if its legit or if it actually will do anything to my car, also what i am worried about is if there is any long term effects, if some body could check it out that would help, let me know if you think it is worth it

I woudnt buy it. Most of those chips on ebay are just resistors or other crap you can buy at radioshack or another electronics store. It will probably just make your car run rich.

Just another one of those 'get rich quick' plans thought up by some spotty student retard wanting to make an easy penny. Basically they advertise a 'performance mod chip', and simply send a very cheap electrical resistor to the winning bidder. The idea is to insert the resistor into the Air Intake Temp Sensor (on your airbox) which will fool the sensor into thinking the air is cooler than it is. In return, this sends a signal to the ECU to dump in more and more petrol to compensate. You will now have a car thats slow as **** and does 10mpg, all for the brilliant price of $5. Bargain! thanx alot, i was kinda wondering about it for a long time, but i didnt know who to really ask, lol, well at least i know now, jus gota keep in mind, stay clear, lol, thanx for the advise

Yea, they even got smarter and started fabricating pretty boxes for them that look like some special chip thing.
