I just have to know!!HELP!!! I need a genius
Ok i have a situatioin i dont understand! I have a buddy who had the same engine as me and stuff but he has a computer out of an si. I thought with it being a p28 it would be the same but it just doesnt feel the same........he was running 14.7 but the fastest time i could get out with reaction time of .51 was 15.8. thats it.

eh weight might be a factor or tires. Dont thing the ecu should make that much of a diff. Did you both run in the same weather conditions. He might also shift better than you. There are alot of variables for me to say exactly. Anyone else want to give there input?
weight, tires, driver ability, lots of factors come into play.
Has he had his ecu tuned at all? (it'd be dumb with that little amount of mods, but I've seen dumber)

well for starters he has a bigger throttle body and intake mani. so he is getting more air into his car, and god knows how well your ebay wires are carrying electrical current to your plugs. along with all what Tony said as well

He's probably just a better driver than you are. Its all in the launch, if you cant launch then you will be a second or more behind.
And for the record, reaction time has nothing to do with your ET. You can sit at that line for 10 minutes if you want and still run a 15 second pass. The timer doesnt start until you roll.

Well if he's a good buddy of yours, and you trust him, let him drive your car and see what time he gets. That would rule out the shifting/better-driver theory. He does have some better intake mods then you. Does his car weigh the same as yours? Are you both running the same compression (ie is his engine in better shape)? There are many factors...
