synthetic oils will help the motor and you might gain a 1 or 2 mpg

yes they do usualy save your life but i know 3 people who would be dead if they were wearing their seatbelt during an accident.
and I know 1 person who'd still be one of my best friends had he been wearing a seatbelt when he wrapped his 3000gt around a tree. Always wear your seatbelt. The times when a seatbelt hinders your safety are few and far between.

Put thinner tires on, put a sheetmetal diffuser under your back bumper or just cut some large holes in it, pull your AC and PS.

Or, realize that you're driving a Civic and already have great gas mileage.
