I HAVE A 01 CIVIC COUPE AND IM NOT SURE WHICH KIND OF MOTOR OIL I SHOULD PUT IN IT, WOULD SOMEONE TELL ME WHICH KIND IS BEST...THANK YOU

 

Theres not really a "best" motor oil. Royal purple is pretty much top of the line, but expensive. Anything like mobil 1, castrol, quaker state... Pretty much any oil that an auto store sells is fine. Also honda recomends a 5w20 motor oil. And dont forget to take off the caps lock.

 

perferably synthetic oil would be better for your civic and give you a few more mpg on every tank..but you dont "HAVE" to use sythetic, plain motor oil will work just fine

Nope, but eventually you will want to switch over to high mileage engine oil.

 

The "high mileage" oils are a gimmick IMO. When the rings start to wear, just bump up the viscosity a bit.

what about valvoline max life...my grandpa said it made his truck burn/leak oil bad, and i dont want to use it if its crappy stuff...

 

for some reason when i see someone typing in all caps, i can hear someone yelling the words in my head and it hurts...
