The check engine light is code 17 (i checked multiple times) and i know that that is the speed sensor code. I have a stock soc motor in my eg coupe. For a while the speedohas been lagging (i.e. once the car warmedup in the amit would be fine) then iactually looked at the speed sensor itself and it was physically broken so i replaced it with a new Honda part. Now the speedo doesn't work at all. i have power going to the sensor and the voltage increases when irotate the axle. I'm not sure where to go from here. I miss vtec - please help! THX!

 

sounds like a bad speedo head - i would look around for a cheap used one
also might want to check the ground wires under the dash

 

replaced the top of the center. would it be a faulty gauge cluster. i'll be checking the connections later today.
