performance chips

keep seeing these performance chips for my 93 civic that plug into computer and boost 25 percent more horsepower was wondering if these were worth buying or not

no. If you are going to "chip" you will pay quite a bit of money if you want it to result in any power...

Not only that man, but there is a lot of potential damage that can be done with those $25 chips on ebay. Its basically removing safty features from ECU, not somthing you really want to do.

yea....removing the rev limiter is not a really smart thing to do

thanks guys for the replys will definitely heed the warnings just wanted to know if they really worked or not sounds like they are more trouble than they are worth

also, no two engines are alike, take two identical engines with identical mods, and tyhjey will dyno different.. so how can they say that the chip will produce anything for your ride, they dont even take mods into cosideration..
