Default piezo knock sensor bypass

Has anyone successfully used piezo transducers to keep your ecu from giving false knock CEL?

I tried it, and it worked for about 20 miles, then i got CEL for knock. I put two together and mounted them on the fuel rail. anyone have a better place to mount them where they still work, but get less vibration ,so as not to trigger cel?

I used regular speaker wire, would shielded wire make any difference? I dont think the oem wiring for the knock sensor is shielded.

any other ideas to get around knock sensor would be helpful. I tried re-wiring my aftermarket knock sensor twice, and it always triggers a cel for knock under heavy acceleration. Car runs fine though, I dont think its really detecting knock. I'm running a p2p ecu, I cant switch to p28 because I have an auto and the obd1 transmission sensors are different than the obd2b ones.
