Default Possible to remove speed limiter in 2002 Civic ECU?

I have a 2002 Civic DX (bad choice, but I urgently needed a new car). It tops out right around 117 MPH, when the ECU shuts down the fuel and spark. On the Autobahn here, it can be a real problem. Does anyone know of a way to get around the limiter? I'm starting to believe that the best upgrade to this car would be a "For Sale" sign...
