Hi is there any thing we can do to remove speed limiter... Is it required to remove after tuning the b16a with turbo .. What is the TOP speed of b16a.. mph / kmph.....

 

Why do that? It'll only get you higher priced speeding tickets... if you're a drag racer then OK (but you'd be having to push a lot of HP to get that speed in 1/4 mile), but if you plan on racing autox you'll never reach that speed. I thought these cars limited at like 115-120.

Yeah, I'd also like to know how to remove the speed limiter. I know that it's possible but I don't know how. Surely someone knows.... and not some smart answer like the one before....

 

I am about 80% sure all you would need to do is to chip your ECU.

 

Yeah, judging by your signature, I would say that you are the last person anyone should encourage to remove a speed limiter...

 

Ya thanx, I know that we have to chip the ECU.. but do you know who can do it and has some1 done it. AS it made a difference, does the car go faster than wat it was limited to.

Thts my question, If you know how to remove the speed limiter and if YES, has it acutally benefitted... Modding the ECU is wat I knew that has to happen if I plan to remove the speed limiter...

Say if the LIMIT is 120 mph, if u remove the limiter can the Car go to 130 or 140 mph... my question was that..

Well if by help you mean will the car go faster then yes. My car hit the governor at 118, and I was still pulling, therfore telling me that if the governor was not in place then by all means you would go faster. Try super chips, Hondata, Skunk2, or any number of other companies that MAKE new ecu's for the vehicle. There has to be at least a hundred. Hell go to your local speed shop, ask the guy behind the counter and take his advice, thats what I did.

 

if you have the b16 tranny the top speed is around 115. this is of course what i have heard done, not done in the crx.
