Default Prelude injectors in an EG civic?

I was recently told by a honda junkie buddy of mine that I should put prelude injectors in my d16z6 eg civic. i was just curious if he was blowing smoke up my *** or if this would work. and if so, which year prelude should i get these from? I found some injectors off a 98 h22 prelude. wasnt sure if those would work or not. any help would be great. ive tried to do some research, but i guess im looking in the wrong places. please help thanx

There is no reason for it if you are asking about this. Fuel delivery is usually only upgraded when needed. If you are not having problems, then don't bother. Installing bigger injectors requires tuning as well.

Nothing wrong with mine atm. Just stock. And the car will get tuned once its ready. Have a guy in Cinci goin to do a street tune on it. Just wanna make sure those injectors are compatable.

nope why tune it twice if not needed. just stick with you're stock ones the differences aren't worth the time and possible problems you might encounter.

Are you building up the motor or anything? Stock injectors can handle a decent amount of power on N/a builds, once you cross into Forced Induction, upgrading is usually a must.

My stock 240cc injectors handled 7 psi from a supercharger just fine for a little bit. However, since they were running at 95% duty cycle while at WOT @ 7,000rpms, they needed to be upgraded. I went with RC 440s and the duty is now down to 60%. You really don't want to exceed 85% duty cycle.

Going from 240cc to 280cc is pointless unless they are aftermarket and have a better spray pattern.

If you do end up installing some Prelude injectors, do it at the tuner's place in the parking lot. Now, the question whether or not they will physically fit, I am not sure of.
