Default Reseting ECU

Is it true that once you install CAI, header, cat back and all those other mod you should reset your ecu????

Do you reset the ecu by unhooking the battery???

anytime that you mess with something affecting the air/fuel mixture. So for an intake, exhaust, header, etc...

Unhook both the positive and negative from the battery. Then (away from the battery) touch the 2 leads together, then re-connect. Start the car and let it idle for about 10 minutes.

It is important to let it idle to reset all the maps to the new mods you installed, most people just want to jusmp in a nd take off.

exactly, it has to adjust to the idle a/f ratio... when you start it up dont press the gas at all, just turn the key and walk away
