when i turn my car on the rpm dosent read 1 or 1.5. now when i start driven and i get to about three or four from sound it starts to catch up. and when i push on the gas pedal i dosent pick up speed like it should???

 

Ok... er... going to need a better description of the issue... So your saying that your Tachometer is not reading at an idle? and your car is having acceleration issues? if so has the engines sound changed? and was this sudden or? ....

yes and yes. it accels but not as fast as it should. idk about the change of the engine sound cause i bought the engine off some one and it sounds the same as when i first started it.

 

Ok, as for the Tachometer not working, that will probably just be a wire in the incorrect location/not plugged in, as for the acceleration, that could be caused by many things, have you checked the timing of the engine? it could be injectors, could be spark plugs... list goes on, your going to have to try to narrow them down, and go from there.

 

the wire is plugged in good ive checked it. most every thing is good. except the fact im useing a z6 im on a b7. i get a cel for 3 and 7 map and throttle. now should i change it back to the b7 im or change the two sensors out? how would i kno if my map is bad? when i unplug the map the car shuts off.
