i installed new headers and i've ran into a bunch of problems, i had to get the o2 sensor heated to come off the old headers and im afraid it might have ruined them. when i run the car, it idols at around 200rpms and then it'll stall. i think it might be because the o2 sensor might not be telling the engine the right stuff. im taking it to the shop but any advice about what could be causing this to happen would be very helpful.

I think it may be the 02 censor as well.

 

Get a scan tool and look at the O2 sensor readings

 

i had the same issues with heating it up to get it off. but when i did that the o2 came out in 2 parts!!!! but mine idoled at like 400 to 500and rarly lower... i replaced the the o2 sensors and it still idols low sometimes. i cant fugure what else i chould be! HELP!!!!!!!!!!

 

make sure that everything is really really tight. my cat back exhaust comes in 2 seperate parts and i think that when i put the headers on, it pulled apart a little where the 2 parts meet and it wasnt flowing well so i tightened EVERYTHING and made sure the gaskets and everything was good and had no leaks. now it idols just fine, it even idols a lil higher sometimes. i hope this helps u out.

i have a 2000 honda civic dx and it idals at about 1'200 rpm when its warmed up..we swapped a h22 in a civic were i worked..it idals at 4'000rpm..its such a big difference

yea, it shouldn't idle at 4K when fully warmed up, somethins wrong. Maybe the TPS.

 

ya im not to sure what was going on there....but i no we had alot of problems after we installed it, they might have got the rpms down...and it was alot of work to get it e-tested too
