^ Thats sucks. I can't read any codes on my civic either, my school has the MT2500. However, we don't have any of the adapters for japanese cars. And there is no way im dropping $2000+ for the scan tool. One of the things i like about OBD II is that a $150 scan tool that hooks up to a laptop can do most of the stuff (sometimes more) than the $2000 scan tools. Maybe you can take it to Autozone? I dunno if they read OBD I codes.

 

i think i'll just take the 02 sensor off and see if it looks like crap, if it does i will replace it and see what happens

I would 99% chance say that is your problem, do not start making fuel changes to a stock engine. No need to and you are over complicating things.

 

What ECU are you running?

 

i am running a jdm p30

 

why are you throwing a code, that ecu is ment for the engine and is a direct drop in as far as harness's go. There is no reason you should be throwing that CEL, change your O2 sensor.

 

and from what I understand, u cannot plug in to the ecu... you have to check the engine codes.. there is a jumper on the wiring harness (integra = by the ecu, civic = under the hood, driver side, right by the driver side strut tower)... you use a wire or paper clip and jump those wires.. then your CEL should flash the engine code.... check the manual for that ecu and compare it to the one from you car itself.. you should be able to pull the codes like that... I can

 

are you already running an aftermarket intake? Alot of the times intakes lean out your a/f a bit... the best and safest way IMo would be a fuel controller.

 

well changed my 02 sensor and still a problem, so now I am going to change the fuel filter, clean out the injectors, and install the vafc I just bought. I know at least one of these is going to fix it
