Okay. So I filled the car up and drove until it was too low to go any farther than a gas station. I drove normal, and without insanity. I only got 250 miles on one tank. What the hell? Not even close to the 350 miles someone said they got.

Did you know that some peoples carsget more miles to the gallon? *gasp!*. Your car is an old model, correct? 90's? The newer models will most likely be more gas efficent than older cars, thats why I get 300's

meh...my 94 average's 300-340 to a tank and it sees plenty of shift at ~6.8k I'd say my sane/insane shifting is 50/50.

Notice the reply directly below yours. He said he has a 94 and gets 300+. Mine is a 98 so would you think mine should get more?

I'd recommend a tune-up if you havent in a while. If the car is due for one it will make a huge difference.

Rather than make my own thread for a stupid (yet related) question,

What's the correct way to drive an automatic? I hate that jump you get when the car "shifts" in an automatic so usually I know when to let off the gas to still get the shift but not the jump. Does it even matter? I feel that I get a smoother ride but I don't want to blow my engine up doing it.

I haven't put more that 10.2 in mine. Usually average about 9.5 though
