im all for having alittle fun BUT anything over 60mph on streets or 90mph on the highway is to much!!!!!!!

thats why tires have speed ratings.... so unless you also have some NICE TIRES designed for that speed you could easily loose control or have a blow out and start a death roll.....

 

is it like a rev limiter, like your car is still accelerating and all the sudden you feel eitehr hte fuel shut off or your car not allow you to go any faster? Or is it like you get your car going that fast and you just cant accelerate anymore? Not many lightly modded Civics can get goin that fast easily

Well, it doesn't look like a fuel cutoff, but more like the power shuts down. I say that cause Si's get their max torque at 7k rpm and max hp around 7.6k. at 120mph in 5th, rev is probably around 6800-7000, so it still has power to higher (and it did with my other Si).

I'm not a sticker guy, and thanks for caring about the speed rating of my tires, but it's fine.

I don't run 120 in traffic on a daily basis. It's more like testing the stock power of a car in the middle of the night with no one else than myself and my car on a three lanes highway...

WTF........ and at night...... can we say road kill......... all it takes is a rabit/dog/deer/posom/skunk/ or even road debri.... blown semi tire on the road................................ alls it takes is a second for the wheel to wobble and your done!!!!!!!!!

and your tires are fine..... ya they might last once or twice but if they are not rated for that speed its never safe to have them that fast! thier rated that way for a reason!!!!!
