vtec hookup

Default vtec hookup

hey my friend is putting a b16a in his 93 civic dx. Now since the dx wiring harness is not equipped for vtec does anyone have a diagram on how to hookup the vtec? Thanks alot

you should have gotten an engine harness and an ecu, as u are switching from d to b (and also an non to vtec), you would get more hits if you put this in the engine swap area

well if you have the right ecu for that engine. If it's an OBD1 just wire the vtec to the ecu directly. connect the vtec solinod to Pin Out A4 on the ecu. Next ground one wire of the Vtec Oil pressure switch and the other wire goes directly to the ECU, pinout D6. Thats it your done connecting the vtec.
