Default 1990 Honda Civic SI Swaps?

Aight, i am posting on behalf of one of my freinds. He is getting a hatch in the morning (the one in the title) He wants power but i think the motor in it is a SOHC non-vtec.. i may b wrong dont shoot me.. but im just wondering what could u swap into the car? he wants a cheap engine and more than likely gonna be done in my garage. I was thinking B16 or a B20.. can u find these at junkyards and what would they b in? so basicly all i want to know is what kind of swaps is their and how much will it cost.. thanks in advance guys.

the whole swap for that much thats a good deal but if it aint the whole swap you can get one off of hmotors for 1500 and you get everything and beleive me its going to be quick i have a 91 with the sir swap and no v6 will touch it

if you want somethingcheap a b series isn't your best friend.

look into a sohc vtec head swap, or swap the whole engine in, no new mounts or trans, same clutch and axles. and its really cheap.

when you need more build a turbo kit for it. this can be done for less than 1000 easily if you take you time and search out the great deals.
