I have an 82 civic 1500dx with 3spd auto. I'm looking to swap the engine with a newer one due to parts availibilty and price. Does anyone know of any engines that would basically bolt onto the trans? Just trying to keep it simple. Any inputs are greatly appreciated.

 

if i were you id keep the engine and just swap a 5 speed tranny on it, or just buy a b16 drive train, that tranny is prollay junk neways

 

Seeing that the tranny is in pretty good shape and only has 100K on it, I would rather swap the motor than rebuild the one thats in it. Thanks for the suggestion though.
