Default mini me swap

okay, i just finished a mini swap on my cousins 90 crx si. we used the si block and a z6 head. everywhere i went to research it up, they say to use the z6 timing belt. bs. we tried it and it was loose as a mother-f*****. the belt to go with is the y8. anyways, we just finally finished bolting everything up and all. trying to start it up, it won't start. emptied out the gas tank and filled 1 gallon 1/4 into it and rechecked all the wiring. good to go, but it still won't start up. any clue on where to look next? spark plugs and wires are new, dizzy is too...oil is new, but about the oil, there is a faint smell of fuel in the oil. any clue what could cause that? i heard that it is normal, but who knows!? anyone experienced that before?

head gasket is new, intake and exhaust gaskets are new also. gas is new, oil new, coolant new....if you know anything please let me know...we would like to have it running by this week...just wanna see how quick this baby will run...

thanks in advance guys!!!

did you swap to a z6 ecu if not thats your problem get the helm manaul and go throuth the wireing 95% of swaps not starting is because of this my 91 crx with a d16y7 motor had to be converted to a 88 hf wireing and a pm8 ecu you just have a wiring problem and make sure your ground from battery is grounded to the transmission and the origanally mount on the sheet metal body if you dont your going to have lots of problems but her it is take a p28 ecu then take out the pins in your harness and convert to a 93 ex or si civic then once all the wires are used then you need to run a few wires for the v-tec sil. tell me how it works for you and if you need diagrams i can mail some to you k later rodney
