Question D Series Swap

I'm on a low budget to kick things off...
I want more power but i cant decide what I should do? I have a 94 civic lx with the standard D15B7 motor. It's obviously got some years on it and was wondering if this would be worth the rebuild? Or would it be a smarter and more cost effective plan do go with a better D series engine or a B16A? I'm not sure exactly where to start. Oh and i'm gonna keep it automatic so I don't have to go through the pain of a conversion to manual. Thanks!

Swap to Manual. Otherwise, you will forever be slow.

There were no B16's which cam with an Auto transmission.

If you want to stay AT, your best bet is to go with a D16z6 motor or rebuild the current motor.

Honda Auto transmissions do not hold up well to additional power than what should be there from stock from what I have seen in my days.

Thanks! I think I may go with the d16z6 and build it for Turbo. I just want a little extra push up these steep hills at the bottom of the mountains where I live. Do you have any idea of n online seller Tht may have one?
