Default D series turbo... Need some advice or opinions on internals

I dont have the time to do a b series swap with my schedule so i bought another d16z6 which is my stock motor. Its already torn down completely but need some advice on if i should bore, what compression and make for pistons, rods, bearings, ect. I have a t3/t4 a/r .50 turbo im using. I also have delphi 440cc injectors. Any advice will help thanks

How much power are you planning on making? If you do bore, I would suggest going no more than 0.5mm over in order to get 75.5mm pistons. Going with 9:1 CR pistons and a slightly thicker head gasket would probably bring you to about 8.8:1 CR I would guess.

Not much more I can suggest without knowing a power goal and price you plan on spending.

What do you plan on tuning with?

I was planning on doing .020" bore with wiseco pistons 8.5:1 75.5 mm but i heard that low of compression wouldnt give me enouhh botoom end to go between 9-10 cr pistons. I want to run about 18 psi boost.

psi means nothing. How much power are you trying to make?

18 psi through a straw is MUCH less air than 18 psi through a 60 trim turbo.

Good choice on the wiseco, kinda overkill but that works. To hit 200 on your turbo would be easy and doable at less psi than you think. 8.5:1 is not low compression at all, you will be find when out of boost but with a turbo that small you will be making boost by 3k already. When people do the vitara pistons on like eagle rods they are running 7.5:1 compression, now that's lot and very noticeable out of boost. An alternative for you to save money is the setup I'm building. Vitara pistons and rc autoworks rods, the rc rods are longer so the compression ratio is about 9:1, and the setup is rated to 500 hp. Best part is it is only $400. And 200-250 will be well within those limits and good for dd, I'm going to go for 300+.
