Im looking at getting a motor for my eg shell. Would a D16z6 worth it if i could build it a bit. I've only got around $2000 to spend on the motor so if i get the z6 i still have some money to play with. Also around how much could i expect to pay for a z6? Thanks

 

z6 is a good motor for the eg, is your civic a dx,lx,ex,si ?
you can grab a good motor for around 300-500 bucks

 

It's a dx. I'm looking for a complete swap. What all should i need to drop the motor in.

 

ok you will also need a p28 ecu and you will need to run the vtec wires yourself.

I bought a z6 early this year and rebuilt it for just under $2k. I did a vitara set up with a mild cam and larger valves and some custom madeitems as well. I bought my motor for $400.

 

i got 94 civic dx with a 95ex motor swap for sale. My motor has the basic mods to it as well. the only thing it needs is some TLC and a new ECu cuz the one i have from phearable.net burnt out the fuel circuit. the ecu was a bit over a yr old, but the car sat for while bcuz i was away for military purposes.
