Default B18c1 swap into 2000 civic SI

hey guys, im sure this has been mentioned numerous times but intead of reading for days and days id like to get some direct responses.
heres the info;

i have a 00 civic si with a D16Y8 vtec

i have an oppertunity to get a B18c1 GSR complete motor with 90 k

Id like to know if its possible to use the existing AC system mainly

and what other mods need to be done.
the belt and water pump has just been replaced, should there be any other rebuild done to the motor?
money is limited right now.
also can i use the same axels?
the same shifter linkage?
i also have to swap out the ECU?
im sure i m missing other questions,
any help would do.
i will get a 4 to 1 header for it and possibly a new intake, the GSR intake is a good one from what ive been told, im looking for some opinions here too guys
also what is the stock HP for this motor?
thx for the read, peace

jay from canada

Well you would need motor mounts to start off. If the motor is in good shape, you are set if the timing belt and water pump has been changed. Might also want to change the cap and rotor, as well as the spark plugs/spark plug wires. No you can not use the same axles from your D-Series, you need the GSR ones. Same goes for the ECU, and shift linkage; you need to use the ones off the GSR. Good luck, the GSR is a great motor! Going to be a night and day difference!

OK i want to clear this up. When swapping out a D with a B motor every just says you need mounts. That is true and most people think ok Hasport mounts or Si mount. Its not the rubber mounts you need it is the brackets. You need 2 from a 99-00 Civic Si with a B16. You need the timing belt side bracket, it bolts to the block behind the timing cover. The second one is the rear mount bracket. You can use all the stock Civic rubber mounts and you will swap the right side upper trans mount bracket from the D series trans to the B series trans. If you want Ac then get a B20 CRV AC bracket. For wiring go to FF-squad.com. You will need to add wiring for the GSR intake mani. You will need the 94-01 Integra axles or 99-00 Si axles, 99-00 Si or 94-01 Integra shifter linkage. You will need a 00-01 P72 ECU if you dont have that already, your car is OBD2b so you need an OBD2b P72 ECU. It will also need to be brought to the dealer to reflash the security system in it. Or you can just get Hondata. You will need an AEM Hybrid intake to work with the GRS's lower TB and a hearder would be good. You can use the stock cat and I would get an exhaust also. Stock GSR motor makes 170 crank HP.
