Default B20 yes/no?

Ok Im leaning really heavily towards doing a B20b in my 1997 Honda Civic DX. All Im looking at acheving is 200 whp. How hard would it be to achive this goal and also would the engine still be very reliable and how long would it last. Thanx

It would be very easy to attain that if you put a Vtec head on it... It will be a very tourque filled awesome NA motor.

Do it Do it.

Berz out.

i'm also leaning towards doing this swap. I don't know what is all gonna need to do swap. Can someone tell me. I have 97HB. I think it should give a lot of torque and like Berserker said, getting a vtec head should give upper end. What would the upper end be? GSR Head? And does it need to be modified to fit? Oil holes drilled? etc?

I have a b20 swap on civic EK. I personally am not going to go CRvtec because of the unreliability of it. It has GREAT torque - comes out of corners faster than any b16-b18 (including the b18C) Ive ever driven, but it does not have enough top end to keep up with vtec so what I'm gonna do is boost it - its cheaper and more reliable (ie doesnt require a crap load of head work).
Just my two cents...
