d15b in an ek?
My motor decided to take a crap on me this week.. so i wanted to swap it but i dont have much money right now, so will a jdm d15b sohc vtec swap in place of my d16y8 be ok? i heard that d15b=d16y8 except the d15b is jdm is that right? what do i need to complete this swap?

Well, that's an OBD1 motor where as your y8 was OBD2. Not a huge deal. What year is your car? You can get a p28 (or converted p06) ecu, OBD2x - OBD1 conversion harness, everything else should be plug and play.
If you get a motor without a distributor, you will have to do one of two things. Either get a dizzy that matches the motor, or modify your y8 dizzy so that it'll mate to the new motor.
