like if it would make a significant increase in performance. that would make it worth it.

porting and ploishing the head- think about sucking air through a very small straw then suck air through a bigger straw, it will add more hp but will give you alot more torque, also the lite weight flywheel your car will climb rps alot faster and you car will have a faster response when you hit the gas pedal, and having the head milled will give you a little more compression, then you can get a cam later. i'd say a rough guess you will gain close to 25-30hp with the work ive mentioned.then since your motor is built you can upgrade other things(bolt ons) like fuel injectors, msd ignition,

oh wow. i love the idea of more torque. so lets say my budget is $200 strictly for my head at the machine shop. do you think i would be able to get the head ported, polished, and resurfaced?

just as an estimate. i think the only real way to know is to call them and see what they charge. but i want a general idea on the price before i decide to go forward.

im not really sure what the would charge you, now if you remove the cam gear, valve cover, head bolts, dizzy its cheaper(less work for them) my shop here charges 60$ to mill/shave a head.
