Scott- I get your point fully when it comes to full drag cars...but in the street from light to light tq. wins races. For a street car you will get much more to low end in higher gears..Just IMPO I think the f22 crank and rod combo is perfect for a street car. Drag set up then yes I 110% agree with you....if it was a drag car I would then swap out the f22b crank (b series sized) and rev like a b series with more ***** behind it

I think the stock H crank would be plenty stout enough for my build. I would really love to throw in some forged rods and type s pistons though. I'd also like to get some type s cams too, for a little more aggression while still keeping stock reliability.

Just buy a jdm h22. My bottom end I had has a jdm H22a, stock compression is more than usdm, it is 11:1. And for cams, you are better off buying some Skunk2 stage 1 cams. End up costing you about the same as for a set of type s, and will be as good if not better than the type s. And with Stage 1 you won't have to worry about valvetrain upgrade.

I hate this thread, makes me regret selling my built H every time I make a post lol.

really skunk 2 cams are cheaper? Can you give me a link or something? I'm finding type s cams for around 130bucks. I even found a deal for type s cams and type s over sized pistons for 125bucks. Just missing one wrist pin….maybe just have to dig around a bi to find the deals???

HAHAHA Scott...should have kept the big boy engine

Eh maybe not Skunks, they are expensive as ****. But Crower's are relatively close, but Crower's are debateable.

And $130 for Type S cams... THAT IS A DEAL! They got for $250 MINIMUM all day. I was doing my daily trolling of Hondamarketplace.com and found this just now.

It is Dupli-Color Metalcast, they have anodized colored paint in the metalcast series - blue, purple, red, I think gold, and silver.

You are supposed to buy the metalcast primer as well. I don't have the purple valve cover anymore, long gone lol.
