I think any kind of swap is cool, but if money and a bunch of headaches aren't an issue, then shoot for the stars. ( i personally like the b18c1) You might want to look at the k series (a crap load of torque), i've heard that the install is pretty straight foreward, but i haven't done one, so what do i know.

whats different in the c1 and the c5 besides hp and torque? they still go in the same way and u could get a gsr in obd1, but if its a 2000 civic then its already obd2 which would make it easier to where u dont have to get the conversion harness as long as its a 98+ motor....i think you can use the stock mounts from the c5 too as long as u use a 99-00 civic si rear mount and u have to have a dohc del sol ac bracket and then some other small things

the c5 is overrated if you think about it. it is a b18c block with a b16a head with factory port and polish, better na cams, and more compression. you could get a b20 a b16 head better afteramarket cams and forged internals and a good tune, you WILL make more power and have a good amount more torque.
but if you want to just swap it and forget about internals then the c5 is the way to go, most hp for a b series and people would drool over it.

or get a b18 and a stock gsr head and boost it. gsr's have good cams to run with a boosted engine, and an ls tranny has the longer gear ratios needed for a turbo engine, and they are cheaper and easier to find than a gsr or type r tranny.
