Default 1.5 or 1.6 vetec head

I have a d15b7 and i want to know what the difference in proformance is between a y8 head or a 1.5 vtec head if any? and do i need a new ecu for the swap? Any one have a diagram for the wiring of a vtec selioniod? that would help. If the 1.5 vtec isnt to bad on preformance is 50 dollars for one a good price? Just about to make the swap finally!!

the y8 has a higher compression ratio and i believe it flows a little better
