Default 1.6L head to a 1.5??

Will a 91 Si hatchback cylinder head from a D16 work on my DX hatchback 1.5L? I know it'll bolt on and its not v tec or anything so I dont see why it wont work. Just want to make sure before I get the head and waste money if it wont work.

found something else I might get if the head doesnt come through, will a ZC 1.6L bolt right in and use my stock wiring harness? I just need something to hold me over cheap til I'm done building my LS.

direct bolt in........ as far as first question, only thing you may have trouble with is cam timing as the si cam is .5 tooth off compared to the dx, although a y7 or y8 cam gear can compensate for that.

Yes, a ZC is a direct bolt in, but you left out the part about rewiring it for MPFI and getting a new ECU. Do it though. You'll love it.

see I dont really feel like doing all that because I just need something to hold me over until we finish rebuilding my LS motor, if it used my wiring harness and ECU and everything and all I had to do was drop the motor in then that'll be all good. I can get the JDM ZC for like $400 shipped but it doesnt come with the ECU or anything so I think I'll just get the head because thats all that I really need to fix my motor. Thanks guys.

Keep in mind that it's not going to make a whole lot of difference, since the D16 head was designed for MPFI, but you're still only running DPFI.

well I'm not doing for performance I'm just doing it because I'm getting the head really cheap and I need a new head because my gasket is leaking and I'm burning oil really bad through my valve seats.......... so whatever doesn't leak out onto the motor burns out through my exhaust...........when behind me it looks like I'm pulling a James Bond move with the smoke sheild, lol, theres so much oil smoke that comes from my exhaust.

they probably are but I know my head is 80% of my problem so until I get my LS in a new head will make things a lot better
