When my car is cold, it makes lous rattling noise in the front (by the engine I think).
When it warms up, for about 5-7 minutes, the noise goes away completely.
I tried to listen to the noise to see where it was coming from, but the noise was bouncing off everywhere so I couldn't find it.
Has anyone had the same problem? Do you know what it might be? I've heard it could be heat shield, but I'm not sure.

Hi - just saw this after many months...

I have a '96 EX (1.6 vTEC) that does the same thing. Kind of a rattle/knock that comes and goes with different RPM, but only when cold. As warms up, gets quieter and quieter and then goes away. Adjusted the valves and while cover was off, poked around and tried to make sure everybody was happy under there. Saw nothing obviously loose or worn, but no change to noise.

Worried that this is a worn cam bearing.

Did you ever figure out what it was on your car??
