I believe a swap for the 7th generations would be very expensive. You're probably better off to build your existing D17A.

DC 4-2-1 headers, fuel system, suspension, engine internals, EMS, larger injectors, turbo?

building a D17?

have fun

but seriously...in the long run it'll be cheaper to swap the engine. its damn near impossible to find aftermarket parts for the D17 other than turbo parts.

Thats not true Nail. The only part I have not found for my D17, is an intake manifold.

I have same gen and it is a bit of a pain. The parts are a bit of a pain to find and are limited which makes em a bit expensive. I started off wanting to do all the bolt on's and then turbo with internals . Came close to droping 2k a week ago .But after all the research ive done my opinion is to save up and do an engine swap. Its the best way to get real power.

Edit: It realy comes down to what you are trying to achieve with your car and how much time and money you are willing to spend.

I still don't understand what all of you are talking about, the D17 has plenty of potential. Granted it's not like a K20 or B18 but for a 7g the only swap you can do is a K20, so you're gonna drop like 6k on a swap when you could have upgraded the internals and got a turbo, and got it tuned???

Ok granted you prolly won't get 400hp outta a D17, but 250hp wheel hp is attainable, and that's nothing to squak at.
