Question 92 Honda Civic with 96 Civic EX D16y engine and tranny

I just recently bought a 1996 ex engine and trani sohc d16y 110k and i'm looking for suggestions for upgrading the performance of it. Here's what's installed already.
front strut bar
maxspeed coilovers
optima yellow top battery
chiped..hondata
cold air intake

Any suggestions? Looking to upgrade it for the cheapest possible.

y7 or y8? im starting to disassemble my d16y8 for a build and im in the same boat as you, i dont know where to start! naturally aspirated aspirations? mines bone stock.
where to start, where to start? are you looking for bolt on power? engine swap? internals overhaul?
*edit*
head work would most likely put the biggest numbers on the board. stock valves, stiffer springs, crower stage 3 cams, n aem cam gears, port n polish job as well as a 3 angle job if you see fit. since im going to be doing a replacement engine drop, i had a eureka moment, and the heads from my blown motor are in fine condition, im going to rebuild my old motors heads while i drive my new engine. reason for going through the hassle is monetary. i'll build up a badass motor while still being able to drive the car to and from work. xD
besides that, forged rods and pistons with a higher compression ratio will get you some more ponys but will require a high octane of fuel. this kind of work can be considered extensive but honestly you can only bolt on so much power, but youll get the power your looking for from those bolt ons when your engine can actually take advantage of them, such as your hondata chip. you can only tune a car that was built for fuel efficiency and reliability to make so much hp.
