99 civic ex w/ new head?

Default 99 civic ex w/ new head?

i dont know much about hondas but i have one now and i got a si head of my buddys totaled si and i want to know if it is direct fit or not and what it would take to get it on there please any good advice is great.

what year si is it?...if its a 99-00 si head it wont fit your motor

but if it's an d16z6 Si head, it will work. I'm not sure how the wiring will go. I don't know if you'd have to convert to obd1 for it to work.

if its a z6 head, dont bother, it will lower your compression and hurt the power. and if its a b16 head, then no, it wont work. but the head is worth some money. or you could get a b20 crv motor and put the head on that (not a direct swap but pretty easy, its been done a lot.) that would make a vicious dohc vtec motor, though the reliability is questionable.
