yeah..... a tree fell in the pool. i have to get it replaced completely (for my family) so a have to dish out 17k of the 30k i sold my truck for. the swap/conversion costs 25k. so i don't have the money atm. i am getting the stuff to do an h22 tho considering they make good power and it's not that expensive. my buddy told me a good h22 swap would be a 13 second car.

If you've still got a lot of money to play with go k... h22 is fast but it isn't uncommon anymore. Everybody wants a k nowdays, so make everyone jealous and walk on built n/a b's, keep up with a boosted b. K20a2 pleaseeee.

i don't know anything about k's.. what would be the best motor to go with? it will stay n/a untill i get the money to do the 2jz. i will probably be using all of my enlistment bonus on the swap lol.

so basically what k motor would produce the most torque and hp with minor mods. (intake headers hks hi-power muffler with 2.5 inch piping.)

How much oil pan clearance do you want? If you're not worried about ground clearance, use a K24a2 block with a K20a2 head. You'll have slightly more torque than an H22 (164 vs. 160)

If you need to retain ground clearance, my vote would be a K20a2 if I had to choose a K engine. Personally, I'm a huge H-series fanboi, so my vote is always going to go to an h22 swap if engine series isn't a deciding factor

Keep in mind that for $4,000 you'd have the H22 in your car and running if you do the work yourself. $4,000 usually doesn't even buy you the K20a2 long block, trans, and PCM.
