I dont remember to hear the vtec sound...
MY car is civic EX 02 Automatic 4 doors the vtec valve is like a lil filter next to the head of the engine ,rigth???

it's a cylinder shapedsolenoid next to the head. You can't really HEAR VTEC on a SOHC civic...you can however run a VTEC light so you'll know when it's activated.

i have a SOHC with an intake. i can hear when vtec crossesover. probably because i know when it engages, but i can still hear it.
