Default Auto tranny, how much can it hold?

Just curious, how much horse power and torque can a stock 93 civic ex auto tranny hold? Will it slip after you put 170HP to it, or will it hold? Can you add a tranny cooler to it or what? Or will it hold with out any mods?

I'm sure it will hold 170hp, but it all depends on your driving style. If you drive it hard, don't expect it to last long (plus it's way slower than 5spd). Do a tranny swap it's well worth it.
