Automatic transmisson

I barely got a civic lx (auto) and i want it to race around, and actually win.What vthec engine help although its automatic?What else can i do to it?

if you don;t have a empty engine bay to work with then it will be a PIA...most ppl who want to do this swap have a hard time doing this with engine and trans in the way
