b16 or b18 swap?

b18c5's are not even close to cost effective for their power level. You are way better off in terms of cost and performance with a turbo b16a swap. the gsr engine is also a good choice but in terms of cost I would get the b16a. No matter how you go its gonna cost alot more than you think over 2500 for the b16a swap alone if you do it your self. And thats if you dont get hasport motor mounts. The turbo is also not going to be cheap depending on the route you go. Hope this helps.

Sorry i was being presumptious.
By the sound of it both are pretty evenly matched,so go drive a car with each in (if possible) and decide or alternatively which will cost less,lol.
In any case i wouldn't actually consider a swap to anything other than a JDM B18c or a JDM K20a,but my opinion doesn't really count as i am against the turbo route so i'd look for different characteristics in an engine (i guess).

i am thinking about getting the b18c1 for my 99 ex i looked at one at some site i forgot and it ranged around 3000 comes with the motor, tranny, wiring, ecu, intake manifold, exhaust manifold, ac, ps is that a reasonable price?

k thxs guys any more imput on this
am looking to turbo it and do someother stuff to the engine
ive heard the b16a is better to turbo and the b18c is better to keep N/A
am going to stop byand see how much it will be for a b16 i got a price on a b18c and it was 3200 for engine and tranny cuz i have to go with a cable one so its a mix and match
200 for ecu
400 for axles
didnt get a price on headers or anything so i still have to look into that
