i have a 98 civic ex and i want to swap the b16b type r but im not sure if i can pass emissions/inspections. Does anybody know if this is worth doing?

im doing the swap right now and let me tell ya, with all the sensors and stuff that you have to mess with in the harness, i highly dought it would pass emissions. its not exactly that hard of a swap either. if your seller sends the shift linkage and motor mounts, you can get the old engine out and new engine in(not running) in about 4 hrs like i did. (i drive a 98 civic cx by the way) have to do a little wiring, add in knock sensor wiring, switch the icav plug, the iat sensor plug. and do the cps mod. totally worth it if you can find the cash

about how much money are you talking. and why would you do it if you dont think that it will pass emissions???
